If you send me a message via the contact form, your name, email address and message are transmitted to me by email (SMTP) in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). Your details are used solely to process your enquiry and are not shared with third parties. To limit abuse (e.g. automated bulk messages), a temporary session cookie (see below) is set during your visit.
This website is hosted with IONOS. When you visit the site, technical information (including IP address, date and time of access, page requested) is automatically recorded in server log files, as is technically standard for any web server. This data is used to ensure reliable operation and the security of the systems.
In addition, the website stores every page view with IP address, time, page requested and browser identifier in its own activity log, to detect misuse and to evaluate usage (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The approximate location (country, city) is determined by the server itself from a local database; the IP address is not passed on to anyone for this. The entries are deleted automatically after 90 days.
