Two ways to work together
Where there is no IT department, GeekInfinity takes on the running of it. Where there is one, GeekInfinity works alongside it: for a project, a migration, or simply for extra capacity. Both are possible, and one can follow the other.
Servers and workstations
Setup, operation, updates, user accounts and permissions. Windows infrastructure in particular: domain, file shares, print services, group policies. Certified on the Microsoft side, and old enough to have administered it before it moved to the cloud.
Backup that has actually been restored
A backup nobody has ever restored from is not a backup, it is a hope. Part of the job is trying it: taking a real file back off the tape or the disk, and writing down how long that took. That number matters more than the backup software.
Remote access and firewall
Working from home, from the road, from a second site — without opening the office network to everyone. VPN, access rules, a separated guest network. Sensible defaults instead of a door left wide open because it was quicker to configure.
On site and remote
On site in Berlin and Brandenburg. Everything that does not need hands on the hardware can be done remotely, and that is most of it. The scope follows your need: a single job, help when you call, or a fixed number of hours per month. You set it, and you can change it.
