Overwriting a document should not mean losing the old one. DocMind numbers every change and keeps what came before.
The numbers tell you what happened
Small changes count up after the dot, replacing the actual file counts up in front of it. One glance at the number tells you whether the content changed or just the description:
Restoring adds, it never removes
Bringing back an older version does not throw away the current one. The old state is written on top as a new version, so the history keeps growing and you can always change your mind again — including about the restore itself.
The same file twice? It notices
Upload something that is byte-for-byte identical to the current version and DocMind tells you so instead of creating a duplicate that costs storage and clutters the history. You can leave a short note with each change describing what you did.
Every version stays reachable
The history shows how many versions exist, which one is current and how much storage they take. Each entry can be downloaded exactly as it was — nothing is pruned automatically.
